The untapped Latin American Diamond market is now making a challenge on the diamond markets of Dubai, China and India with Panama leading the way, this market is slowly rising with diamond dealers looking on. Good news is, a new project is bringing Bourse to Panama. According to the promoter, it will be the first of many in central and South America.
There are fantastic opportunities in this region says Erez Akerman, the president of the Panama diamond exchange. The building that will house the Bourse will hold around 350 offices on 50 floors.The building with house Jewelry, diamond and precious metal businesses, along with gemological labs and educational courses. It is being built for the requirements of the diamond exchange specifically.
For convenience and accessibility the building will be located close to a large casino and hotel. The construction began early in 2008 and the project will be completed in 2 years.
